Our story
Strength first. Everything else is built around it.
Centered Survivor exists because people who have lived through intimate partner violence already carry real capacities, and those capacities grow when the conditions are right.
Why we exist
Many recovery programs assume the danger is behind you. For many survivors it is not. We set out to build something that works under those conditions, and that treats survivors as the experts on their own lives.
What we believe
- Survivors are not broken. Strength is named, not manufactured.
- Safety and choice come before everything else. Every practice is optional and adjustable.
- Good practice is tested. We want our work studied, and the results shared plainly.
- Those who serve survivors deserve training that is as careful as the care they give.
Where we are going
We are building group programs for survivors, a licensed training for the practitioners who serve them, and a companion app that is still in development. We are open to research partnerships. More of the story, and the people behind it, will be shared in time.
Why this page is short
We keep personal details private on purpose. In this work, privacy and safety come first for everyone connected to it, survivors included.
